A little bit of context
Ctrl l, Alt, Del is a campaign by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) to encourage youths to quit smoking and urge youths to encourage people they know to stop smoking. This was done through a series of of workshops, exhibitions and events catered towards youths. HPB wanted to install interactive exhibits in one of their events which is how this project came about.

What does the client and audience need?
Based on the client brief, the target audience was given a survey to understand better, how to tackle the issue of smoking
pain points
Fear of missing out
Smoking is deemed as a group activity amongst several youths and they use it as a means to socialise making it harder for them to quit.
Limited Engagement
Traditional anti-smoking campaigns often fail to capture the interest of young people, making it difficult to keep them engaged in the message.
Knowledge on How to Help
While many youths know that smoking is bad, they are unsure of how to influence others to quit without compromising their friendship.
Perceived Invincibility
Many young people don’t believe that smoking will affect them personally or fail to see the immediate consequences of their actions.
THE PROBLEM
Many anti-smoking campaigns fail to engage youths effectively, often using outdated approaches that don’t resonate with their experiences or social pressures. Non-smokers also lack the tools to help their peers quit. This disconnect between education and real-life action leads to missed opportunities in empowering youths to quit smoking or support others in doing so.
